A warehouse management system (WMS) is a key part of the supply chain and primarily aims to control the movement and storage of materials within warehouses and process the associated transactions, including shipping, receiving, put away, and picking. The effectiveness of a warehouse supervisor has a significant impact on the success of an organization.
The real key to success lies in how well total warehouse operations are managed. Companies that lack warehouse strategic planning and operational excellence lose profits, market share, cost advantages, and market leadership.
