Rationale

The Assistant Nursing Programme designed to provide nursing students with theoretical knowledge, clinical skills and attitude required for safe effective practice as Enrolled Assistant Nurses. 

Entry Requirements

Minimum Educational requirements are Four (4) subjects

Three (3) compulsory subjects:

• English Language CXC or GCE grade 1-3 
• Biology CXC or GCE grade 1-3 
• Mathematics CXC or GCE grade 1-3 

                                and 

• One (1) other subject from The Nursing Council of Jamaica’s approved list (exclude Art & Craft, Child Care, Clothing & Textile & Office Admin.).

NB; No More Than Two ‘3’s
