Bachelor of Science Degree in Tourism & Hospitality Management
The economies of the 21st century continue to be dominated by telecommunication, information technology and tourism. In the Caribbean, tourism and related service sectors have become pivotal to economic activity. The increase in the importance of restaurants, hotels and the continued diversification of hospitality and tourism has resulted in greater demand for professionals in these areas. This Bachelor of Science Degree is designed to fill these gaps by providing job-ready professionals.
Skills Gained

Public speaking and presentation abilities
Leadership qualities for team environments.
Awareness of globalization and cross-cultural issues.
To matriculate into the programme, applicants must fulfil one of the following:
1. Pass at least five (5) subjects at CSEC/GCE including English Language and Mathematics, with grade I, II or III / A, B, or C. Grade III pass in CSEC must be after June 1998.
OR
2. Mature Student Entry applicants must be over twenty-five (25) years with a minimum of five years experience in a specialised area of the industry. Applicants will be accepted based on an assessment of their prior learning. Each applicant must submit an academic portfolio for individual assessment.
PLUS
3. CCCJ Associate Degree or an Approved Associate Degree from a recognised institution. The qualifying degree must be in an area relevant to the intended programme of study. Applicants who fail to meet this criterion will be required to complete the necessary bridging courses at the Associate degree level prior to being afforded acceptance.
Additional- 240 hours internship.
